History
Crime and the proliferation of armed gangs are slowing the development of Haiti, during the year 2014 with the proliferation of armed gangs on the territory of Haiti, the advice of the Queensland University in a conference debate on the proliferation of armed gangs in Haiti took the decision to create the Center for Research and Studies for the Prevention of Crime (CREP) of the Queensland University (UQ) with and for the mission of intervening in Haitian communities and in the slums to implement programs and projects that can help us fight against crimes, violence and rape against children, women, girls and adults who are attacked by armed gangs.
The Center for Research and Studies for the Prevention of Crime (CREP) at the Queensland University (UQ) to end armed gangs, crime and violence against children, youth and people undergoing kidnapping in Haiti's ten departments by 2030.
Mission of CREP UQ
The mission of the Center for Research and Studies for the Prevention of Crime (CREP-UQ) is to support the development and implementation of practical and effective policies, programs and projects aiming to reduce crime and delinquency in Haitian communities, cities and other local authorities, and to strengthen the feeling of security in rural and urban areas of Haiti.
More specifically, the Center promotes multisectoral approaches, will support consultation and collaboration between the various partners from the institutional, community, associative and private sectors, in order to face the problems of crime and insecurity concerning armed gangs which sow the climate insecurity in Haiti. It will support strategies for mobilizing the active forces of the community in terms of crime prevention in Haiti.

The Queensland Foundation for Children, Health and Education (QFCHE) www.qcfhaiti.org , civil society organizations, international organizations, faith-based groups, the private sector, researchers and academics, and beneficiaries themselves, form the fabric of this collective effort.
