International Programmes of UQ


The International Programmes Office welcomes you to the Queensland  University (UQ) Haiti , the premier  christian university in Haiti and one of the most prestigious universities in Haiti. Our university is well-recognized as a centre of excellence all over the world. The University was established more than 14 years ago and has trained more than 1500 undergraduates and  graduates  in STEG who are at the helm of Theology and Missionary Work  in Haiti and many parts of the world. Currently, the student population is about 2 500 with of over 25 to 50  international students every year asking information to do admission at Queensland University (UQ) Haiti.

Since 2003,  Queensland University (UQ) Haiti began to receive International Students and there are some International Students as Mr. Chang Yeong Jong  coming from Taiwan an Undergraduate of the Faculty of Sciences and Arts, Engineering and Architecture (FSAEA) of Queensland University (UQ) as Civil Engineer and Mr. Chang Yeong Jong is actually Manager of OECC Engineering Firm of Taiwan working in Haiti,  and in 2009 we received Ms.  Josephines Jones Nkunzimana coming from Burundi, Africa in the School of Journalism and Communication of Queensland University (UQ) ..etc.. 


We are pleased to have you and we believe your experiences in Haiti will be fulfilling and  very memorable in your lifetime. We wish you success in your time with us in Haiti.


Services and Staff

The International Programmes office was established to promote and coordinate all the University’s external relations, including International Students, Visiting Scholars, Fulbright Scholars, staff on exchange, external staff training programmes and research collaboration. The Office of International Programmes offers a variety of services to international students and scholars.We are ready to work together with International Universities to establish in Haiti some Graduates Programme in Leadership and Environmental Sciences and others  Graduate schools  at UQ Haiti.

Institutional Summer Programme for the Queensland  University (UQ) on Drawing Board!!!

The Office of the Dean, International Programmes is working on a proposal for the Queensland University (UQ) Haiti  to offer unique courses from summer 2010 after the passage of the Earthquake of January 12, 2010 in Haiti to international partners and individuals. There will be modules in American Standard Studies,  Health Sciences, Theology,  Tourism and Management, Hotellery, Agronomy and Environmental Sciences, Apiculture, Marine Fisheries, Social Studies, Communication Studies and Journalism, Social Work,  Education Sciences,  Governance, Parliamentary Rights, etc - with experiential learning components! Please keep an eye out for the programme!!!.

All international students must report to the Office of International Programmes upon their arrival to be processed through registration formalities.

The Office recognizes that international students add to the cultural enrichment of the social, as well as academic, setting of the Hinche Campus, Plateau Central. Therefore, it is dedicated to fostering global understanding and goodwill and assisting all international students to reap the maximum benefit from their stay in Haiti .
