History
 
The January 12 earthquake that devastated so much of Haiti also claimed the lives of a number of professors , Personnel and Students at Queensland University (UQ) and Grace Evangelical Theological Seminary / Séminaire de Théologie Evangélique de la Grace (STEG). Those who survive mourn the deaths of many friends and family members. Both institutions lost their buildings, and the homes of almost everyone in these academic communities are completely destroyed.
 
In the areas of Port-au-Prince, Jacmel, Nippe, Leogane, Grand Goave and Petit Goave, we have many victims, wounded and deaths. There are many evangelical and christian churches, Theological Seminaries and Biblical Schools, Christian Schools and Universities, Primary and Secondary Schools that are completely devastated. Their furnitures are gone. We want to assist them by giving them back, but we don't have any means to do that. The displaced male and female, children and youth are living in extreme poverty and lamentable condition. Several Members, Pastors, Believers and Non Believers Victims by the Earthquake have requested Assistance. On the Campus of Queensland University (UQ) each day there is a Cult of Lordship and New Converts and Leaders be trained and deployed into service (Matthew 9 : 38) And in this objective the Participants Victims founded a New Ministry called : <<Grace Community Haiti Ministries( GCHM )>> .
 
Grace Community Haiti Ministries( GCHM ) is a 501 (c) Non-Profit tax-exempt Organization founded in January 14, 2010. It is a Non Denominational Christian faith mission . Grace Community Haiti Ministries (GCHM) partnership with haitian Community Churches and other mission and evangelism organizations are exciting choice and an example of the Unity of the Holy Spirit. Evangelism, discipleship, renewal, leadership training and church planting can take place more efficiently using one another' s  resources . GCHM expanded to strategic locations throughout Haiti, Dominican Republic with Haitian Refugess Victims of January 12 earthquake 2010, Latin America and Caribbean, North America..etc.
 
Mobilizing the Church
 
Grace Community Haiti Ministries( GCHM ) mobilizes the church to reach and disciple the unreached by Encouraging, Equipping and Establishing Church Leaders and Build and Rebuild Haitian Churches completely destroyed by the January 12 earthquake. In collaboration with Advent Christian Church Haiti (ACCH), Eglise Evangelique Alliance, QMI works in partnership with other haitian churches.

Statement of Faith

 
1) We believe the Scriptures to be  the inspired Word of God
2) We believe in one (1) God, Creator of all things, infinitely perfect and eternally existing in three (3) persons, the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit
3- We believe Jesus to be the true Son of God, born of a virgin, dying on the cross, rsurrected from the dead as the sacrifice of our sin.
4) Man was created in the image of God but was marred by sin by disobedience of our first parents and is now born with a nature inclined to sin.
5) Atonement for sin is received by repentance,belief, and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ.
6) It is through the Lordship of Jesus Christ that the Holy Spirit is able to equip believers to live a holy and effective life.
7) Our Lord will return, the dead will rise, and a final judgement will take place.
8) God will have the ultimate victory over satan and will establish His Kingdom eternally.

       Vision for Fulfilling the Great Commission: we challenge each local church leader to build a vision within their church for evangelism, discipleship and church planting locally, nationally, and internationally. (Mt 28 : 19 a)

  The Crisis in Haiti is not over…. Just Different

 

  The priority immediately after the quake on January 12 was pulling people from the rubble and providing emergency medical care for hundred of thousands of those injured victims and wounded and also equipping the children’s without parents. Haiti needs your long-term commitment, and there is no better time to make that commitment than now. After the quake on January 12 there are many children without parents.

It is not what we had planned to do, starting an orphanage but the scripture is clear, look after orphans and widows in their distress (James 1 : 27 ). After the January 12 earthquake there are many children without parent. When our Haitian Team went to a town so distraught, impoverished parents where selling their children. Grace Community Orphanage was born in Sapaterre, Hinche, Plateau Central. We have 50 children without parents during the earthquake and need $ 40 per month for each child to meet their needs.
