CropLife Haiti is
a regroupment of Research Centers and associations, and Faculty
of Agronomy and Environmental Sciences (FAES) of Queensland
University (UQ) representing the plant science industry in Haiti
. On the industry, we address national and regional
developments in crop protection and agricultural biotechnology
in the rural areas of Haiti .
We promote approaches that enhance sustainable agriculture in
the interests of haitian farmers, consumers and the
environment. CropLife Haiti aims to provide transparent
information to its stakeholders and welcomes open dialogue with
parties interested in the future of food and farming in the
rural areas of Haiti.
We are committed to supporting the safe and responsible use of
the industry's products in order to provide a secure, varied,
healthy and affordable diet for haitian consumers and others
consumers around the world ..
Our activities are financed by Faculty of Agronomy and
Environmental Sciences (FAES) of Queensland University (UQ) and
National Association of Hemp and Coton Producers of Haiti
(NAHEMP) and our research and development-driven by
ourself in Haiti .

Statement
Working together for
sustainable agriculture in the rural areas of Haiti
- We will reach out to our
stakeholders, developing dialogue and forming partnerships for
the common goal of achieving a more sustainable agriculture and
develop Industrial Hemp and Coton.
- We will work across the
various technology solutions offered by the plant science
industry, promoting their complementary nature in sustainable
agriculture and cooperate closely with other trade associations
representing the plant science industry in the world .
- For us, sustainable
agriculture refers to a system of agriculture that, over the
long term, will:
- satisfy human food and
fibre needs
- enhance environmental
quality and the natural resource base upon which the
agricultural economy depends
- make the most efficient
use of available technologies, nonrenewable resources and
on-farm resources and integrate, where appropriate, natural
biological cycles and controls
- sustain the economic
viability of farm operations
- enhance the quality of
life for haitian farmers and society in Haiti
