The Civic Engagement and Social Institute (CESI)  has developed a network of scholars from School of Governance and World Alliance for Citizen Participation of Haiti (CIVICUS Haiti ) , other Queensland  schools, and major international research universities. The initiative seeks to offer new ways of thinking about participatory democracy and governance in Haiti , and to partner with civic leaders to create exemplars of how this works in neighborhoods and public institutions of rural and urban areas of Haiti.
