University Technological Training Center for the Deaf-Blind and Disabled People

The University Technological Training Center for the Deaf-Blind and Disabled People (UTTCEDDP) is an administrative establishment with legal personality and financial autonomy, which succeeded the Study and Training Center for Maladapted and Disabled Children (TCMDC) of Queensland University Haiti. Its headquarters is on the Queensland University Haiti Campus. The Center is administered by a board of directors assisted by a scientific and educational council from Queensland University. It is headed by a director assisted by a director of studies and a general secretary.

Special educational needs and disability of deafblind and disabled people in Haiti

The Center trains those involved in the support and educational, social and professional accessibility of deafblind, disabled and maladjusted people in Haiti.

A national and regional dimension in Haiti

The University Technological Training Center for the Deaf-Blind and Disabled created by the Council of Queensland University Haiti for equal rights and opportunities, participation and citizenship of people with disabilities, deaf-blind people, the center is a training establishment professional and academic and research dedicated to special educational needs and accessibility.

Under the supervision of Queensland University, the center assists in the definition and implementation of policies relating to the situations of people with disabilities or great academic difficulties in learning in Haiti.

The center works for educational, social and professional inclusion in Haiti.
Its mission is organized around three areas: Professional training, Resources, Research.
Offer training to all inclusion stakeholders
The center offers initial and continuing training for professionals and individuals to answer questions about accessibility and support for deafblind and disabled people in Haiti.
Its building allows it to accommodate interns and students from Haiti and abroad.
Develop a reference resource center for Haiti
The center contributes to the information, publishing and dissemination of technical, scientific and educational resources intended for support professionals and educational, social and professional accessibility for deaf-blind and disabled people.
